WECRUMA (Wealth Creation Uganda Millers Association) is the apex body representing over 800 small and medium-scale grain millers and value chain actors across Uganda. Operating under the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) — Directorate of Value Addition, we serve as the strategic vehicle for transforming Uganda's agricultural sector through commercialized production, post-harvest handling excellence, and agro-industrialization.

Our flagship vehicle, WEFASA Farmers’ SACCO, provides interest-free financing and technical oversight to large-scale and cooperative farmers, unlocking production on over 178,000 acres in the first year alone.

1. Climate-Smart Production
High-quality seeds (KEMUDECOS/NARO), interest-free inputs, extension services, and conservation agriculture practices on minimum 114.6 acre plots for large-scale participants.

2. Post-Harvest Excellence
Training in drying, shelling, sorting & cleaning. Use of CAIIP community storage facilities and hermetic technologies to drastically cut post-harvest losses.

Aggregation to partner milling facilities and the Mutai-Jinja National Produce Silos & Animal Feeds Mill for industrial-scale value addition into flour, feeds and branded products.

WEFASA Farmers’ SACCO
The Financing Arm of Transformation

WEFASA is Uganda’s dedicated agricultural credit cooperative established under the Wecruma Presidential Initiative (WPI) to provide unsecured, interest-free loans to qualifying large-scale farmers (minimum 114.6 acres) and cooperatives for a period of five years.

  1. 01 Submit expression of interest with production plan to WEFASA / OWC
  2. 02 Technical evaluation & due diligence by OWC Value Addition team
  3. 03 Approval & signing of loan agreement
  4. 04 Disbursement in tranches + continuous extension support
